Rebecca Blomfield Macky Clarke — known as Rebie — was born on 14 September 1863 at a house in Hobson Street, Auckland. She was named Rebecca after her father's and mother's aunts and Macky after a family friend, and baptised by Reverend MacDonald.
In 1887 she married Frederick John Hazledine at St Barnabas' Church, Parnell. The couple left New Zealand for England in 1891.
Rebie visited New Zealand only once more, in 1928.
She died at Beaconsfield, England, on 22 August 1948.
They had three children:
- Annie Eleanor (1888–1943, a watercolourist),
- William Samuel (1889–1964, a Church of England parson),
- and Mary Rebie May (1893–1912).
William's son Basil William Hazledine (born 1918) became a Church of England minister, retiring in 1988.
He and his wife Grace visited New Zealand in 1989, where Basil preached at a commemorative service for descendants of George Clarke at Takapuna on 19 February 1989.
