Bi-centenary of the arrival of George & Martha Clarke. 3/4 April, 1824
A bi-centenary weekend will be held on 13-14 April, 2024.
This later date is so we can coincide with the 11am high tide for the boat leg from Waipapa Landing to the Kemp House.
The programme is a bus pick-up from Paihia - Waipapa Landing where those booked on the boats will travel up the inlet to the Kemp House. Those on the bus will proceed to the Kemp House where they can have a coffee at the cafe, explore the grounds or visit the pa opposite while waiting for the boats to arrive at 11am.
We will then visit the Stone Store and Kemp House before luncheon at the Marsden Winery. We will then visit Te Waimate Mission House before returning to Paihia on the bus.
On Sunday morning we will visit the Treaty grounds for a private tour and performance before having a Gourmet Lunch Pack lunch in the Taumarere Function Room where we will also hold our AGM.
